7/28/08 Mon: Appt Results

Current Mood: Very Frustrated

Mommy started her leave today from work because there have been cramps and small contractions. Thought it was best to be able to move around and help things rather than be stuck sitting at a desk for 8 hours. Sitting in place for too long isn't very comfy anymore!

Appt today didn't go as well as hoped. Only 2 cenn dilated, still same amount thinned now for 3 weeks. Had a stress test and Jayden doing very well, very active. Mommy had very very small contractions.....nothing was even felt as far as they go. So......the doctor set up the paperwork for induction Wed night at 8pm. Mommy is NOT happy about this at all, as it could take up to 3 days just to get things started. That wouldn't be an issue, if Mommy could GO HOME for it. But once Mommy goes into the hospital, Mommy is stuck there....so PRAYING once measures are under way to start labor, labor happens and Mommy isn't stuck alone in the hospital for 3 days.

COME ON JAYDEN...WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!?!??!?!

Daddy and Mommy went to the store tonight and walked around, then came home and walked the neighborhood for another hour or so. Mommy is reallllllyyyy getting tired of all this walking. Wish it would help move things along before wednesday!

7/27/08 Sun: 41 Week pic/Still no Jayden

Current Mood: Anxious!

The answer is no....no baby yet...lol. Mommy and Daddy fielded a LOT of calls this weekend from friends and family, and sadly we had to tell them all the same thing. Jayden is quite happy in his little space, and he has no intention of coming out till he's darned good and ready!

Daddy had another talk with him last night, and Jadyen just twisted his little body around to put his tiny little hiney right where Daddy's face was.....ha ha ha. I guess that's your answer Dad (:

Yesterday Daddy had Mom walk for over and hour and a half straight around the neighborhood. We walked to the Snow Palace and got some yummy treats, then Daddy had Mommy walking up and down hills and streets. It was quite a workout and we had HOPED it would make a difference. But NOPE! MOMMY IS STILL SITTING HERE TYPING INSTEAD OF IN THE HOSPITAL!

Tomorrow morning is our appointment/check up at 9am so hoping to hear some good news!

Now Jayden, Mommy REALLY REALLY REALLY didn't want to go to work Monday and Tuesday....so can you help her out here and work with her a little? Wouldn't you rather be snuggled up to Daddy, or Grammy, or Grampy, or Aunt Kristi? Wouldn't you rather be fussed over and loved up by lots of people instead of stuck under Mommy's desk while she pretends to be interested in work for two days?? PLEASEEEEEEE come out......**mommy says as she bats her baby blues and clasps her hands together** Believe me sweetie, you don't want someone coming in there and FORCING you out.....and that's going to happen on wedsnesday whether you are ready or not! So make it easy on all of us and let's get this party started! Besides, Mommy is scared of what kind of walk Daddy has in store for her TONIGHT! He he!

7/25/08 Fri: 40 week pic/No Jayden

Current Mood: Anxious

Ready to get this show on the road now! Hopefully this weekend something will happen. Daddy is making Mommy walk for her dinner tonight in hopes of prying little man out! We're walking to a nearby italian place and getting something nice and spicy for dinner. Mmmmm. Hopefully that will prompt little man to come out and make his much anticipated entrance into the world!

7/24/08 Thurs: CONTRACTION - Appt results

Well, went for a stress test today to make sure Jayden is doing well and he's happily puttering away in there!  Mommy managed to have one contraction while hooked up, and she didn't even feel it.  Let's hope they are all that easy...ha ha ha.  Doctor said it could be any day, possibly this weekend!  Let's keep our fingers crossed!

7/23/08 Wed: Preggo Pics

Mommy's friend wants to make a scrapbook of the journey before and after pregdom! So here are some pics Mommy and Daddy did of themselves this weekend for the scrapbook. Mommy thinks they turned out pretty darned good considering we did them ourselves. And it doesn't hurt that Mommy knows a few things about Photoshop (:

7/22/08 Tues: PAST DUE Appt Results

Current Mood: IMPATIENT!

OK JAYDEN, let's get this show on the road! Today's appointment yielded no new results. Doctor said Mommy was a HAIR more dilated and thinned. Someone likes where they are and plans on staying! Don't get me wrong, Mommy DEARLY DEARLY loves having you with her all the time. Mommy loves feeling your little jabs and kicks, (and the big ones too!) But Mommy knows she has to share you with Daddy, and he really wants to meet you so don't make him wait too too long.

The gameplan is....
*If nothing by Thursday, Mommy has an appointment at 9am to make sure all is well with little Jayden and he's not stressed out.

*If nothing happens by Monday, Mommy has another appointment.

*If nothing happens by Wednesday, Mommy and Daddy have an appointment at the hospital for an 8pm Induction.

SO MOMMY SAYS...JAYDEN BETTER COME BEFORE WEDNESDAY BECAUSE MOMMY DOESN'T WANT TO BE INDUCED! So......someone better not get TOO comfy in there!

So far, no contractions or any signs that Jayden is ready to make his appearance. Other than the usual swelling and tiredness, not much else going on. It's HOT and HUMID out there, so mostly staying in and relaxing. Might venture out a little later for lunch, but maybe not (:

7/14/08 Mon: Breastfeeding Class

Current Mood: Overwhelmed!

Just finished the breastfeeding class tonight. Grammy O. came along because Daddy had to help Grampa with something at the house (and truthfully I think Daddy didn't really want to come...lol.)

Mommy thought breastfeeding was pretty simple, till that class! Just lots to remember...eek! But all will be fine. Can't believe baby will soon be here!!!!

7/14/08 Mon: Weekly Appointment

Current Mood: Happy

Today's appointment went well as always. Still fingertip dilated but now 70% thinned. Jayden is still happily content in there and in no big hurry to come out. Mommy is due next Monday! We'll see how things go!

7/13/08 Sun: BELLY VIDEO!!!!

Current Mood: HOT HOT HOT!

WOW is it humid outside today! Mommy REALLY minds the heat right now! Hoping the rain cools things off a little!

I finally got Jayden to cooperate with the video camera! Hopefully you can see by the remote on top of Mommy's belly that Jayden is trying to change the channel. He he!

I'll try to capture his gymnastics more, but he's pretty camera shy. Whenever I get out the camera he instantly stops!

7/11/08 Fri: 38 Week Pic/Relaxing Day

Current Mood: Calm Today Mommy took the last of her vacation days she had left before the big event. Here is Mommy's belly at 38 weeks, with a **gasp** naked belly pic included! THANKFULLY Mommy has managed to escape the dreaded stretch marks! WOO HOO!!!! (Looks like I'm smuggling a beach ball under my skin!)

Jayden is happily squirming away in there, and was extra squirmy when Mommy had some ice cream at lunch! Mmmmm.

7/7/08 Mon: Weekly Checkup

Current Mood: Achy

Today's appointment was similar to last week's. Still 50% efaced and fingertip dilated. Only difference is Jayden dropped down a decent amount. Mommy can tell he's facing her back because when he punches he's punching her colon. EEK! It quite an odd feeling, as Mommy doesn't think she'll ever feel someone punch her colon in a fight anytime soon, ha ha.

Baby measuring fine and Mommy managed to lose a little of that water weight she had gained. still have swelling here and there but it's getting better. Still can't wear those wedding rings though! Hopefully SOON!

7/5/08 Sat: SUPER DADDY!

Current Mood: Thankful

OK, despite all the teasing Mommy has to endure from Daddy, she has to take a moment to just let everyone know what an awesome hubby he is. These last few weeks when Mommy is pretty much out of commission and DEAD TIRED, Daddy has picked up the slack. From cleaning the house, to doing the dishes, to helping Mommy prep, to finishing house projects such as the porch, to making sure Mommy is comfy and content.....SUPER DADDY has been in effect (or maybe it's more super hubby!). So he needs to be recognized for all his hard work! Yes, he's been everything from the cleaning crew, to the bargain hunter, to the coupon clipper, to the dinner maker, to the massage specialist, to the waiter. You name it, he's worn the hat, and Mommy loves him dearly for it!

In about one week's time he's managed to put together all of these things himself!



Mommy is surprised the stroller doesn't have spinners, hydrolics and neon along the bottom. Hmmm, maybe Daddy is working out those final details as a surprise? He he.

7/4/08 Fri: 4th Of July

Current Mood: FULL!

HAPPY 4th OF JULY!


What a great day we had! Jayden's Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie K, Cousin Chance and friends Jen and Doug (with soon to be playmate in tow.....Jen is pregnant also....) came to enjoy great food and fireworks! Daddy and Grandpa made lots of SHRIMP, then Daddy made some kick butt burgers on the grill, and Grandma brought yummy salads and an ice cream cake to celebrate Grandpa and Daddy's birthday, Aunti K brought a yummy cheesecake dessert and Jen brought some yummy cake! Mommy made potato salad and deviled eggs....and also orange creamsicle dessert. Mommy was QUITE full and Jayden only squirmed one time during the fireworks! (Jen's little bean also squirmed at the exact same time...he he he.) It was a very nice relaxing day despite the rain, and this is probably the first 4th of July we all were not DYING from the heat!

7/3/08 Thurs: HULK FEET!

Current Mood: PUFFY!

Well, it finally happened. About a week ago Mommy started getting what Daddy affectionately calls "Hulk feet". Usually starting after dinner, Mommy's ankles become "kankles" and her feet look more rounded with Twinkie snack cake sized toes! Here is a picture (and this one isn't the worst believe it or not....)



Daddy jokes that he shouldn't make me angry, because I'll turn FULL HULK ON HIM! He likes to make loud sounds each time Mommy takes a step (like her feet are 5 times bigger and make more noise!) Here is an example of what I COULD turn into, if Daddy doesn't stop picking on Mommy.....

7/2/08 Wed: 37 Week Pic / SNORING

Current Mood: TIRED! Well, here it is! Mommy's37 week old belly in all it's glory! Jayden had the hiccups a lot the last couple of days so he must be in there gearing up for the big day when he can take his first breath!



Unfortunately for Daddy, Mommy has not picked up a bad side effect during her last weeks of pregnancy. SNORING! And we are not talking cute petite little grufts of sound escaping Mommy's mouth. OH NO....we are talking full on gutteral loud animal like sounds that not only wake Daddy out of a deep sleep, but more than likely the neighbors as well. Daddy has spent many a night on the couch or recliner in Jayden's room. Poor Daddy. Mommy is so sleepy from it, and hoping that little gift from Jayden goes away once he's born.

6/30/08 Mon: 2nd Surprise Shower

Current Mood: blessed

Today at lunch Mommy's boss TRICKED her and said he needed to talk to her about a job and her yearly review right before lunch. When we were finished, Mommy grabbed her keys and started walking out and he asked her for just one more minute of her time and around the corner BLAM...SURPRISE! The studio had thrown Mommy a shower! Mommy will post pics when she gets them, but it was a total surprise and Jayden made out with some really cool gifts!
