6/6/09 Sat: First Strawberry (picking too!)

It's strawberry picking season! This morning we all went out picking strawberries. Jayden had his first bite of a strawberry and as you can see by his picture, he thought it rather SOUR!

Jayden helped Daddy pick strawberries (actually Jayden just wanted to play with the plants and wild flowers!) It's ok though, because Daddy didn't really need much help. He picked those plants like as speedy as a MIGRANT worker! Now we have plenty of strawberries to eat and freeze for the whole summer!

Jayden had to get his picture taken in the giant strawberry before we left Barefoot Farms.

6/1/09 Mon: 9/10 Month Checkup

Jayden's 9/10 month check up was this afternoon and all reports are outstanding. Jayden is trecking right along as far as growth. THANKFULLY he didn't gain as much weight this time, and he came in at a hefty 22 pounds. He's getting taller too, and measured in at 29 1/2 inches long! Jayden is allowed to start eating MEAT so we'll try that this week!

No shots this round, but Jayden's poor finger had to get pinched for bloodwork to see if he's anemic. He put up with it like a trooper though, and didn't even shed one tear! And Jayden got a nifty little bandaid to show off when he got home! (which he skillfully pulled off about an hour after recieving it!)

5/31/09 Sun: Bad Hair Day

Daddy and Jayden fell asleep on the porch swing this afternoon. When they both awoke, Daddy brough Jayden in to show Mommy how bad the wind was outside. Jayden looks like someone scared the poop out of him! The funny thing about this hairdo is, the only way it would go back down is if Mommy made Jayden's hair wet!

RUN, grab garlic, a stake and mallot....for DRACULA is upon us! No silly, it's just Jayden after sharing a cherry italian ice with Daddy!

5/24/09 Sun: Memorial Weekend Cookout

The family went to a cookout today at Grampy and Grammy's house along with a few family members. It was a very relaxing day, and Jayden spent time snoozing, playing, eating and also picking on his Great Grandpa Bingaman.

5/23/09 Sat: First Beach Trip

This weekend was supposed to be a really beautiful one, so Auntie K suggested we go along with her and Chance to this little known state park beach in Maryland called Miami Beach. So we left in the morning and spent the whole afternoon there just being lazy and playing in the water. Jayden absolutely LOVES water, and he enjoyed the small waves on the beach. Jayden had his own umbrella and play area, and as you can see the waves eventually put him to sleep. This is Jayden's first beach trip! He loved squishing his toes in the sand as the waves came in.

Today was a beautiful day outside, so Jayden wanted to try out the swing in the front porch. Grammy and Chance rocked him in the swing and Mommy thought he looked so cute she had to take a picture! Is this the picture of relaxation or what?!

This week Jayden started "cruising" around the house. He holds onto furnature and toys and assists himself in walking! He's managed to walk all around the livingroom, even using the china hutch to make it to the kitchen doorway! He's going to be walking in no time now!
