10/11/09 Sat: Remembrance Walk

Jen, Alexis, Mommy and Jayden participated in a Remebrance Walk at John Rudy Park today. The walk was to gain awareness for pregnancy and infant loss. It was a very emotional ceremony but also very beautiful. After the walk it was time for FUN! Jayden and Alexis had a blast playing peek-a-boo around the playground, swinging on the baby swings and chilling in the gazebo.

Mommy was trying hard to get a picture of Alexis and Jayden going down the slide together, but Jayden had other plans. He pushed himself as fast as he could down the slide and Mommy nearly dropped the camera trying to catch Jayden! Mommy is surprised the camera even snapped a shot, but as you can tell by Jayden FLYING HAIR, he was having a blast zipping down the slide.

10/10/09 Sat: Dad teaches J baseball

Daddy was trying to teach the finer points of hitting a ball with a bat, but Jayden had other ideas. He was having more fun using the bat like a golf club and whacking the ball as hard as he could. He also found another use for the bat.....a stick to beat the tar out of Mommy and Daddy!

After a long evening of playing "beat the parents", Jayden got on his halloween pj's and was ready to snuggle up to Mommy for the evening. (BTW a big THANKS goes out to our friend who gave the halloween pj's, and a few other gently used PJ's to Jayden)

10/10/09 Sat: Alexis 1st Birthday

Today was Jayden's girlfriends first birthday party! Lots of people were there and Jayden was all about flirting with ALL the women. Alexis made out great with some cool gifts, and thoroughly enjoyed her cake. Unlike Jayden, she didn't need much coaxing to dive right in!

Mommy's little lemur has on his new monkey PJ's that he got for his birthday! Such a big man wearing 18 month clothes already!

10/7/09 Wed: Faloon's Family Center

Current Mood: Estatic

The Mom's group didn't have a meet up today, and it was REALLY windy and cold outside so Grammy came up with the idea of going to Faloon's Family Fun Center in Hanover. They have a lot of outdoor activities, but they also have an indoor playland where Jayden can get in FREE! Chance had his older area he could go in, and Jayden had his own little area which was all his because nobody else was there that day! Jayden liked "swimming" in the ball pit, and he also spent quite a lot of time running full speed around so Mommy had to chase him!

9/30/09 Wed: Nixon Park

We haven't visited Nixon Park in quite a while, so today we met up with the Mom's group for a nice afternoon visit. It was a little chilly outside, but we bundled up and had a good time.

Afterward Grammy took us to a park to do one of Jayden and Chance's favorite things....SLIDE!

9/25/09 Fri: Washington Zoo

Daddy, Grampy and Auntie K took the day off work today so we could all go to the Washington Zoo! This is a first time for Mommy and Jayden to go! It's a nice big zoo and it's free!!

There were so many things to see that Jayden didn't know where to look! He was super excited to see all the animals. And as you can see, some of the animals liked looking at him too! He especially liked being in the dinosaur skull!

While walking on the bridge, Jayden was walking with his hands up in the air and we all affectionately call it the "W" walk because he makes the shape of a "W" with his hands/arms. So in the one picture you can see everyone doing it with him on the bridge!

9/23/09 Wed: Lincoln Park

Current Mood: Hmmm.....ask Mommie, LOL!

Lincoln Park was fun today! We had the park to ourselves most of the afternoon. Jayden had a good time throwing mulch (which Mommy caught on cam!) and playing on the equipment. He also has become quite the slide lover! He must have gone down this red slide five or six times! Wonder if he'll be a coaster fan some day like his Mommy?! OH MOMMY HOPES!

9/18/09 Fri: Final York Fair visit

Today Mommy and Daddy had free passes once again to get into the fair so we took Chance and Auntie K along for a day of fun.

Jayden got to go into the pet tent and pet a kitten and a rabbit. Then while Chance finished up in the tent, Jayden was showing Daddy the importance of CORN! (His favorite veggie!)

Jayden got his OWN Kohr's orange aid tonight, and drank the whole thing down in record speed! Jayden also got to sample some goodies, such as funnel cake, gyro and Bricker's french fries!

9/16/09 Wed: Harrisburg East Mall

Current Mood: Tired!

It was a nice day to go to the indoor playland in Harrisburg. Jayden got attacked by a bear chair at the Bass Pro outlet before we went to the playland. Jayden and Chance had a blast playing together, and made a few friends that day.

Jayden was quite fascinated by the singing tree that is located in the playland's center. The last time we visited it was in need of repair. This time the eye opened, limbs shook up and down and it sang many nursery rhymes. Each time Jayden would stop playing and dance to the music while staring at the tree!

After we were doing playing, Jayden surprised us all by walking the ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE MALL UNASSISTED! He was going so fast we had a hard time keeping up!

As you can see, all that fast walking tired Jayden out for the car ride home!
