7/8/09 Wed: Lincoln Park & Mommies little helper

Today's outting was very local to our house! It was at Lincoln Park in York. The park was redone with new equipment and was very nice. While Chance and Grammy got on the playground, Jayden and Mommy sat on a blanket and played under a tree. The park has three sets of play areas, one looked like a castle! Mommy put Jayden on his favorite thing, a SWING! Someday soon little man will be able to play on the big things like a big boy! Hopefully not TOO soon, little man is growing too fast for Mommy! She likes him snuggly and little!

That evening Jayden was helping Mommy cook dinner by making sure she was adequately supplied with the proper spices! This is Jayden's favorite thing to do when it's dinner time!

7/4/09 Sat: 4th of July!

Current Mood: Patriotic

Last time Jayden celebrated the 4th of July he was still in Mommy's belly! And on that day, he only jumped once at the fireworks!

Today Mommy and Daddy had some friends and family over to celebrate. Jayden was in the pool with his girlfriend Alexis, then we all had some good food to eat.

In the evening Jayden got dressed up in his PJ's and patriotic had/socks and we went outside to watch the fireworks. Jayden held onto Mommy for dear life, but watched every firecracker!

7/2/09 Thur: First night sleeping in own room!

Well, tonight was the first night Jayden slept in his own room. Up till now Jayden has been sleeping in his pack and play alongside Mommy and Daddy's bed. Jayden is becoming a big boy quickly, and when he takes a date out on the town they won't take too kindly to the fact that he's still sleeping with Mommy and Daddy. SO....Mommy bit the bullet and made Jayden sleep in his room tonight. It was very touch and go (up about 6 times) but it will get better! Such a big boy!

7/1/09 Wed: Long's Park & POOP!

The Mom's group had an event that you had to pay for today, so rather than go there we packed up the kids and went to Long's Park for the day. Jayden was fascinated by the squirrels and how friendly they were. They came right up to you for food! Then Jayden and Chance got to go into the free petting zoo. Jayden wasn't too sure of actually PETTING the animals, so he left that to everyone else. Here you can see he actually touched the lama's ear.

As we walked around the waterside, Jayden passed out in his buggy. Guess we tired him out!

Later that evening Jayden had another first, though very embarassing for him! Daddy was giving him a bath and stood him up to dry him in the tub.....Jayden made a funny face then proceeded to POOP in the tub!!!! No, Mommy didn't take pictures of that. I have a feeling Jayden will be mortified enough about the story some day without having to include a picture for all to see!

6/28/09 Sun: Hard day

Daddy must have played out Jayden something horrible today. He could barely stay awake for his bottle!

6/26/09 Fri: FIRST UP THE STEPS

Mr. Big Boy Jayden decided he was going to tackle the steps today. With Mommy's assistance, he managed to master the first two. As the day went on, Mommy had a hard time keeping him off the steps, so she helped him to make it clean to the top! Now that's ALL little mister man wants to do!

6/24/09 Wed: Camp Security Park & Lightning Bugs

Current Mood: Excited

The Mommies group today had an outting in East York called Camp Security Park. It was a nice little park with a very big stream alongside. The kids got into the water and had a great time. Unfortunately the bugs were pretty bad, so we then decided to go to a park in Spry that had another stream that was less buggy.

Later that night the lightning bugs were out like CRAZY in our back yard. So Mommy plopped Jayden right in the middle of the yard and let him have some fun with the bugs. It's hard to see in the picture (since Mommy had to shrink the size for the website) but there were hundreds of lightning bugs all around Jayden and he had a blast trying to touch them!

6/21/09 Sun: Father's Day at the Beach

Today for Father's Day we decided to go to Miami Beach in MD again. It was kind of a chilly icky day, but in the afternoon the sun came out and we had a great time. We packed lunches and drinks and just spent the day playing in the sun.

Mommy wrote Happy Father's Day in the sand, but it didn't show up very well in the picture. Mommy was going to get Jayden to stand next to his name in the sand but at that point Jayden was getting very tired and cranky. As you can see, he passed out on the car ride home!

6/19/09 Fri: Duce and Jayden

Mommy had to take this cute shot of Jayden and Duce chilling in the doorway to the kitchen. Jayden has recently started realizing that Duce is around, and he's all about petting him, letting Duce lick him and pulling out his shedding hair to show Mommy!

6/18/09 Thurs: Cut first curl

WOW MOMMY WHAT DID YOU PUT IN THAT BOTTLE?!??!?!

Today Jayden had his first little curl on the back of his head. Mommy cut it off to save it in the cute little containers a friend purchased for her, but when the hair sat in the container the curl straightened!

6/17/09 Wed: 1st Sit Up and CHOCOLATE WORLD!

This morning Jayden pulled himself to a sit up position not once, but TWICE for the first time! Mommy was so proud!

This afternoon was our "outting" day with the Mommy group. We went to Chocolate World at Hershey Park. It's a fun free day for all. Mommy wanted to get more pictures outside but we had a bad rain storm when we were done with the tour. Jayden LOVED the ride, and didn't know which way to look! He loved the singing cows, and also the production line. As you can see in the picture that Grammy got for Jayden, he was too busy staring at the singing cows to look up at the camera!

Jayden even got to eat a little piece of chocolate when the ride was over!

6/14/09 Sun: Swimming and Napping

Current Mood: Relaxed

It was a beautiful day out today, so Jayden lounged in the pool for the afternoon. Then when the sandman came for his after lunch time visit, Daddy was right there with his swing ready to take a Father/Son nap.

Daddy used Easter money from Grammy S. for two new sets of PJ's. Jayden looks mighty spiffy in these two new sets!

6/7/09 Sun: Playing in the Yard

Current Mood: HAPPY

Today Daddy got out some toys for Jayden to play with in the yard. The swingset used to be Cousin Chance's and the ball pit is borrowed from our neighbors. Jayden LOVES the ball pit. Mommy and Daddy can close a hatch on top, fill it with the balls and open the hatch to let all the balls fall on Jayden!
