8/27/09 Thurs: 1ST HAIRCUT!

Current Mood: Feeling like a BIG BOY!

Mommy and Daddy took Jayden to get his first hair cut today! Maryanne was his stylist, and she kept commenting on how beautiful Jayden's hair and hair color was.

At first Jayden was sitting in the chair all by himself like a big boy, but that quickly ended after the first couple of cuts. Then Mommy had to hold little man to get the rest done. He looks so handsome now, and Mommy saved his hair in an envelope.

8/25/09 Tues: FIRST PHOTOS!

Finally FINALLY Mommy and Daddy got Jayden's pictures done. Of course there were tons of ones that Mommy and Daddy wanted, but we could only pick a couple. Thankfully we got the package that gave us the CD so Mommy could post all these wonderful poses for everyone to enjoy!

The photo shoot took place over two days. Jayden was NOT happy about getting his picture done. Jayden was either afraid of the flash, or didn't think much of the photographers.

In any case, we got some great photos to remember.

8/19/08 Wed: Chick-Filet Park

Current Mood: SPASTIC!

The Mommy group was supposed to meet at the McDonald's playland today but it was canceled due to the place being closed for renovations. So Grammy, Chance, Mommy and Jayden went across the street to the Chick-Filet playland!

Chance had their kids meal, and Jayden joyfully consumed an entire bowl of vanilla ice cream all by himself! After all that food eating, it was time to BURN SOME CALORIES! Jayden LOVED the funny mirrors, and Chance and Jayden had a fun time running and playing with the indoor gym.

8/16/09 Sun: Miami Beach, MD

Current Mood: Warm

Jayden's girlfriend wanted to go along to Miami Beach, MD next time the family went, so today was the day for the treck to the beach. It was a very warm and humid day, but the water felt nice for all. Jayden and Alexis were out on the water a few time with the parents. It was a very nice relaxing day playing in surf and sand!

8/14/09 Fri: JAYDEN SAID EAGLES!!!!!!!

DADDY'S Current Mood: ESTATIC!

Well today was the day. After Daddy spent Mommy's pregnancy AND Jayden's first entire year of life saying EAGLES to Jayden, Jayden finally muttered the cherished word! During dinner, Daddy did the usual slow pronounciation of EAGLES and Jayden smiled and looked up between bites and said EAGLES! Daddy nearly jumped out of his chair to hug Jayden. It was obviously Daddy's shining moment, and Jayden was pretty stoked too!

8/13/09 Thurs: Spry Park

Current Mood: Happy

Another Spry park visit was in the schedule for today. Jayden and Chance just love this park because they can get their tootsies wet in the stream! It's quite cold, so Jayden spends equal time OUTSIDE of the water as well. Here you see Jayden trying to follow a red leaf that has fallen into the water while Grammy and Chance are upstream throwing rocks. Jayden also likes to go across the bridge now that he's a big boy and can walk SO WELL on his own!

8/12/09 Wed: ANOTHER TOOTH!

Jayden's gums are showing signs of tooth number 8! Now he'll have 4 on top and 4 on the bottom!

8/11/09 Tues: 12 Month Check Up!

Current Mood: SORE

Today was Jayden's 12 month check up. Everything is going quite well! Jayden only gained a pound, and was weighed in at 23 pounds. Jayden DID grow in one way, LENGTH! He's now 32 inches high! He's going to be VERY tall if he keeps grown 3 inches between visits!

Jayden unfortunately had to get a couple shots today, and he cried VERY loud, but then was a big boy and smiled on the way out of the office. Mommy's little man is growing so fast!

8/8/09 Sat: Dutch Wonderland

Current Mood: Excited & TIRED!

Auntie K has season passes to Dutch Wonderland and Hershey, so she got the family in for a big discount. This is Jayden's first time at a park! It was VERY hot and humid today, but Jayden had a blast. He loved all the rides he got on, but did manage to fall asleep twice through the day.

Jayden also greatly enjoyed the little water park that was there. His favorites were the baby water slide, and the little gushers of water that shot up out from the ground. He kept stepping on them and laughing. Then Daddy thought it would be funny to walk over to the BIG KIDS part and get DRENCHED with Jayden in his arms. Jayden was NOT too happy about all that cold water at once!

The last ride was the choo choo train and Jayden passed out before it even began. As you can see by Jayden in his stoller, he had a very fun (AND TIRING) day!

8/5/09 Wed: Spry Park and BATH TIME!

Today was a fun day for Jayden!!!! Mommy, Grammy and Chance took Jayden to Spry to play in the water. Jayden was more interested in the STICKS than the water!

Then Daddy and Mommy gave Jayden a bath and Jayden got to play with the magnet letters/numbers that he got for his birthday. Notice the "J" on his head, and then Daddy thought it would be funny to put a "B" on Jayden's butt! He LOVES bath time!
