2/25/09 Wed: Nixon Park

Today Mommy and Grammy took Jayden and Chance to Nixon Park for a few hours. Mommy sadly lost her job Monday due to downsizing, so Mommy was very sad. Grammy decided to take everyone to Nixon Park for the day to get out of the house. Everyone had a good time, as you can see!

2/21/09 Sat: I look like Pop-pop!

Check out my new PJ's! Daddy picked these out all by himself because he thought it would be funny if Jayden looked like his Pop-Pop! His Pop-Pop loves his flannel, so here we see runway model Jayden Michael sporting his new digs. Notice the side profile in which he proudly shows off his big tummy that matches Pop-Pops!

2/18/09 Wed: Ice Cream and FEET!

Above is a cute pic of Jayden sleeping, one of a million Mommy likes to take! SMILE! It has nothing to do with today's post, but it was darned cute and Mommy had to share.

Tonight was Jayden's first taste of ice cream! Daddy was eating one of those freezer treat ice cream cones and Jayden immediately stopped playing on Mommy's lap to investigate. Jayden was staring a hole through Daddy while he ate that cone! Finally Daddy got the hint and offered Jayden a taste. Wow, how excited was Jayden! He dove right in, then did a full body shake because of how cold the ice cream was! But the coolness of the treat was no match for Jayden's excitement to try something new, and he dove right in for another bite. Mommy wished she had video taped it, but it will always be a fond memory for Mommy and Daddy.

Another yummy treat for Jayden lately is his feet. Yes, he can finally get past those chubby little thighs enough to get his foot to his mouth! Nearly every time Jayden gets changed now, he aims those tender tootsies to his mouth for a quick nibble. Mommy just has to make sure there are no sock fuzzies stuck between teeny toes, or else Jayden is going to be coughing up yarn balls!

2/14/09 Sat: Valentine's Day

Today is the holiday of Love, VALENTINE'S DAY! Mommy and Daddy helped me pick out cards for them, and even Grammy helped me make a little gift of chocolates for Mommy and Daddy! It's complete with a little I LOVE YOU ribbon, and that's MY signature on the heart!

We had a great day together which consisted of spending quality family time, then Mommy and Daddy got chinese take out and then after dinner we went to Auntie K's house for a little. Chance and Auntie K got Jayden this fun Kung Fu Panda for Valentine's Day! Here is a picture of Jayden having fun with it.

While at Aunti K's, Jayden "found the force" with one of Chance's Star Wars light sabers! Hopefully "the force" won't be TOO strong with this young one. Mommy and Daddy are having a hard enough time keeping up with little man without him having the power to levitate objects!

2/12/09 Thurs: Ghetto Toybox

Today Daddy brought home a "toy box" that he found at the store. Mommy and Daddy couldn't find an affordable toy box anywhere, so Daddy found this plastic one at the local discount store. It's not pretty, but it does the job. Here I am in it with most of my toys!

Hey, the sides of it are a great support so I can sit up! HA HA!

2/10/09 Tues: 6 month check up

6 shots today! EEK! Thankfully a few of them were doubled up so it wasn’t so bad. Poor Jayden was screaming till Mommy and Daddy got him to the car. Those shots must have hurt worse than past ones. Jayden is growing leaps and bounds! He’s now 19.8 pounds and 28 inches long! Mommy and Daddy had a bet going and Mommy won! 2/2/09 Mon Night: Feeling a Little Mexican

First off, here is a pic of Jayden in his Sunday church threads! Doesn't he look handsome? He looks like a little lawyer! He's cheap to hire too, instead of working Pro-Bono, he works Pro-BOOB-o...he he.

Mommy was holding Jayden on her lap and eating a taco and J’s eyes were all big looking at the taco like he was going to take it. Then he kept reaching for it like GIMME SOME! So Mommy put a corner of it in his mouth just so he could get a taste of it and he licked it and was ALL EXCITED ABOUT that taco! He kept reaching for it as if to say MORE MORE MORE! It was the cutest thing. Then Mommy held onto a chunk of tomato while Jayden went to TOWN sucking on the end. Guess Jayden won’t have a problem moving to solids!

2/2/09 Mon: Grammy Daycare

Today was Jayden’s first day at Grammy Daycare. (Grammy’s school had to close down due to the economy so now she’s a full time stay at home Grammy to Jayden and his cousin Chance!) Jayden had a blast with Grammy and Chance! Grammy even wrote down the whole day’s events for Mommy. From the way it sounds, Jayden is thoroughly entertained by Chance and Grammy’s antics.
