12/10/08 Wed: 4 Month Check Up

Well today was Jayden's 4 month check up. He's doing so well! He weighed in at 15 lbs 13 oz and measured 26 1/2 inches! Looks like he's going to be a tall skinny guy like Daddy.

Jayden had a blast at the appointment. He flirted with the nurse the whole time, even laughing at her while being weighed. He wasn't too bad through the shots and got over the pain pretty quick. Sadly though the shots triggered a REALLY bad chest cold in Jayden and the entire weekend was spent trying to keep him comfy. Poor little man.

Here is a pic of Jayden in an outfit that he was too little for this summer, but fits in now! Of course we can't be wearing short outfits on him in December...ha ha. So Mommy just took a pic of the outfit so we can at least say he wore it once!

12/2/08 Mon: Me n' my crab

Arrrrr matey....look at me favorite toy!

Jayden is dressed for the occasion in his crab outfit to cheese it up for the camera with his favorite toy in the whole world.  His CRAB!  He absolutely adores this toy out of all of his toys!  Mommy likes to shake it from a distance and make it walk towards Jayden while saying CRAB CRAB CRAB CRAB and then get close to his face and shake the rattle for him.  It makes him laugh every time!  

Since he likes sea creatures so much, we'll have to get him watching Spongebob Square Pants!  Hmmm, maybe he developed his taste for crabs because Mommy had them a couple times while she was pregnant?!

11/30/08 Sun: GO BEARS!

BEARS BEARS BEARS WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

A kind season ticket holder and huge fan of the Hershey Bears was excited to buy Jayden his first Bears outfit.  Here you see him with his hockey puck (to his left) and his Coco bear.  He LOVES his bear!  It's his favorite stuffed animal!  He's especially fascinated by the little silver skates on Coco's feet.

Wonder if he'll grow up to be an ice hockey fan?  We'll have to take him to a game and see what he thinks!

11/27/08 Thurs: HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! Jayden spent the day getting tons of attention with everyone in the family. Everyone ate too much and left with a smile on their faces. Even Jayden couldn't escape the sleepy effects of turkey! Mommy breastfed him after she ate and they both zonked out on the couch soon after!

11/16/08 Sun: Saucer/Jump up

Last week Grammy and Grampy got me an exercaucer and jump seat and I've been using them like crazy! I LOVE the exersaucer, but the jumper is taking some getting used to. I'm just a hair too small for the jumper yet, but I do enjoy being in it and watching Mommy make faces so I can take a good picture...lol. The saucer has been my best buddy lately though! I absolutely LOVE it, and the cow is my favorite toy!

Tonight Grammy and Grampy took Jayden to the shoe store to get his first official pair of Nike's! Of course MOMMY FORGOT TO BRING THE CAMERA so there are no pics of Jayden getting his HUGE feet sized up! SO, Mommy had to take a picture of him at home. But it's OK because he slept through the entire process at the shoe store!

Jayden wears a 1 1/2 already! EEK!

11/6/08 Thurs: Paging Dr. J....

Auntie K bought this pair of scrubs for Jayden when he was born and he just now can fit into them!  So Mommy and Daddy had some fun with them.  Here you see Dr. J walking in to assess the patient (Elmo excitedly volunteered for this project).  (Notice the nervous sweat just pouring out of Dr. J! - It's really slobber...lol!)  Seeing that the patient had quite a boo boo on his arm, Dr. J skillfully applied the proper bandage.  Dr. J certainly has a good bedside manner!  We are happy to report that Elmo now has full use of his throwing arm, and is expected to make a full recovery!

11/3/08 Mon: I ROLLED OVER!

Jayden did it!  He did it all by himself!  Tonight Mommy had him on tummy time on his floor gym.  He was all content holding his head up so well and trying to push himself up with his arms.  Then it just happened.  He rolled on his side and BLOOP, right on his back!  Mommy thought it was more gravity than Jayden's efforts, so Mommy put him back on his tummy and he did it TWO MORE TIMES!  Of course Mommy was so into the moment that there were no videos or pictures taken of it....but it happened and Daddy got to see it too!  YEAH!

11/2/08 Sun: GO EAGLES!

Daddy got Jayden a new outfit when he went to the Eagles game last week.  Here you see Jayden sporting his new suit while watching the Eagle's game against Seattle with Daddy!  They WON the game thanks to the cheering efforts of both Daddy and Jayden!

11/1/08 Sat: Hanging with the girlfriend

OK ladies, eat your hearts out.....Jayden is already off the market and spoken for! Today we all went to our friends house for dinner and a nice visit. Jayden and Alexis are getting along quite splendidly!! Here you see her sneaking a touch on the cheek and Jayden is all smiles about it! Alexis is three weeks old and it's hard to believe that Jayden was this weight and size only 14 weeks ago! MY but how he's grown!!!!!!!

10/30/08 Thurs: Another first!

Mommy and Daddy are excited about THIS milestone!  Jayden slept most of the night tonight!  For the first time, Jayden slept for 5 hours!  Jayden would have probably slept LONGER but Mommy had to wake him to feed him before he went to the sitters.  He successfully slept from 12:30 am - 5:30 am!  WAHOOOOOOO!!!!!  Let's hope it's not a fluke and Jayden starts sleeping more at night (:  If his big belly cooperates and doesn't wake him from growling, we should be good to go!  (He only wakes up because he's HUNGRY!)

10/28/08 Tues: LOOK WHAT I CAN DO!

Tonight (after watching dancing with the stars and playing on his floor gym) Jayden had a little tummy time and for the first time kept his head up without help!!!!  Thanks to his little Elmo guitar that Mommy and Daddy picked up at a yard sale for $1.....Jayden was motivated enough to keep his head up while on his tummy!!!!  YEAH!  He's getting so strong!  

Here are also some pics of how coordinated he's getting with reaching for toys.  Pretty soon he'll be able to hold them in his hands!  What a big boy Jayden is becoming!!!!

10/25/08 Sat: PARTY!

Today was Jayden's cousin Chance's birthday party and he chose to have a Halloween dress up party for the event. Mommy and Jayden dressed up and here we are at the party! Jayden wasn't cooperating much for picture time, but we did manage to get a front and back of his pumpkin costume. Mommy was a redneck farmer that picked her little punkin from the pumpkin patch (:

Jayden won a ribbon for cutest costume! He doesn't need a ribbon to tell him he's cute....he just KNOWS he is and works that angle every chance he gets!

10/19/08 Sun: FIRST JUICE!!

Current Mood: HAPPY AS LONG AS I HAVE MY JUICE!!

This evening Jayden got his first taste of juice!  Apple juice to be exact.  Jayden's doctor said he could start drinking some juice, as long as it was watered down baby apple or cherry juices.  So Mommy watered down an apple juice and we sat on the couch together for this monumental event!  At first Jayden had this puzzled look on his face, but as soon as he realized what a sweet treat the juice was he TORE UP THAT BOTTLE!  Mommy tried taking it out of his mouth and he was NOT happy about that!  He loved his apple juice, that's for sure!  Maybe next time we'll try cherry and see how that goes!

10/18/08 Sat: Family Get-together

Our family on Jayden's Grandmother O's side got together for an afternoon social.  Cousins came in from New Jersey and Tennessee, as well as Grandma/Grandpa O, Great Grandma and Grandpa and Auntie K and cousin Chance and one of Mommie's Aunt and Uncle.  Jayden was quite the social butterfly and had a smile on his face the entire day.  He even got to help Auntie K play Uno!

10/14/08 Tues: I FOUND MY FEET & Dancing!

Tonight Jayden was sitting on Mommy's lap and suddenly realized he had feet! He was grabbing at them and just staring while his little toes were wiggling. It was the cutest thing to witness. He must have been staring at them for a good half of an hour!

Before the great foot discovery by explorer Jayden, Mommy and Jayden were dancing while making dinner. (actually Mommy was trying to keep Jayden occupied because it was also HIS dinner time and Mommy was JUST about done making her dinner!) The radio was playing and the song "Born to be my baby" by Bon Jovi came on and Mommy sang it to Jayden while we danced in the livingroom waiting for the oven timer to go off. Mommy changed the words a little though...he he
